Back in the saddle again...
So it may appear that I am a "once-a-month" blogger, but I am going to try and get better about that. You may be asking yourself, "what has Scout the Dog been up to lately?" Well let me tell you that I have been quite busy since the last time I blogged. I had a lovely and romantic Valentine's Day with my mommy. She made me some special treats and we cuddled most of the night. I'm not sure that would have been the case had "Daddy" been in town, but I'm not complaining at all! When "Daddy" came back from Hawaii, my Auntie Chris came for a visit. I really liked meeting her, she was fun and loved me a lot. I was very sad to see her go. She said I could go live with her anytime. The weekend after Auntie Chris left I went with Mommy up to Virginia to visit with my Uncle Chip and Aunt Colleen. I also got to play with some of my cousins. I have two four-legged cousins (Barley and Bongo) and one two-legged cousin (Tripp). We had a great time playing. While we were in Virginia I also got to see Auntie Mulkey and cousin Lucy (she is also four-legged). While I visited them, Mommy bought me a new outfit and cute collar and leash. More about that later.... I also got to meet my Auntie Kristin and her four-legged kid Angel. Angel picked on me a lot but I still love her and want her to be my friend. My Auntie Kristin doesn't have any hair right now, but I can't imagine her being more beautiful! I also got to meet Auntie Kristin's mommy and sister. They were very nice and loved on me a lot. Auntie Kristin gave me a new toy and the noise it makes drives my mommy crazy. I like to play with it when she is trying to take a nap or is talking on the phone. (hehe)
Now back to my new collar and leash...
So while Mommy and I were driving back to Raleigh from Virginia I was wearing my new collar and leash. I really had to pee so Mommy stopped at a gas station and walked me around so that I wouldn't mess in the car. After I went potty, Mommy put me back in the car and she ran into the gas station. I got bored while she was gone and aimlessly started chewing on what I thought was my new toy from Auntie Kristin. Mommy got back in the car and we were back on the road heading toward Raleigh. While driving Mommy looked back at me to see what I was chewing on and we both realized that it was my brand-new, super cute leash. I swear to you that smoke began to pour out of my mommy's ears because she was so mad at me. I heard her call someone because she thought she was going to have to put me out on the road. I'm glad she didn't do that. I would have been lost without her. She was pretty mad at me and I was grounded for a while but we have worked things out and I don't think she's mad at me anymore. The lesson to this story is to NOT chew on your brand-new, super cute leash.
This past weekend I got to play at my "vacation home". I had a good time laying in the sun and playing in my pile. While I was doing some investigations in my pile, I found a friend. My new friend was a mouse. I played with him for a long time and then red stuff started to come out of him and "Daddy" took him away from me and put him in the trashcan.
All in all I have been a busy little puppy but I promise to try harder at blogging more often.
xxooxx
